POLL: How Do You Grade TT's 2022 Draft So Far?

I realize it usually takes 2-3 years to fully evaluate a draft class, but we've had several games to get a look at most of the players Tom Telesco drafted in 2022. How do you rate his overall grade? How do you rate the individual players? The following comments may be a bit early, and many players have had so little PT, they're still incomplete. Still, here's my take so far:

    Round 1 - Zion: A: A true blue-chipper, as advertised
Round 3 - JT Woods: D--sorry, just hasn't impressed. He may have led the nation in picks in college, but he's so out of position so often. It would also help if he could tackle once in a while...hope he ups his game...
Round 4 - Spiller: Incomplete, but looking promising lately
Round 5 - Oggie: C: Still kind of incomplete
Round 6 - Salyer: A: An unexpected surprise...I really like that the Bolts double-dipped on O line--they increased their chances of picking up a gem, that that's what Salyer appears to be
Round 6 - Ja'Sir: C: Still incomplete, burned on a lot of plays earlier this year, making some plays lately
Round 7 - Leonard: C+: Still incomplete -- don't expect much from a late rounder
Round 7 - Horvath: B: Decent blocking when called upon

Two starting quality OL’s in their first season in any draft is a winning draft.

The rest is gravy and I haven’t seen enough to know how they will eventually turn out.

For a Charger draft, it’s already a B+ and could become an A depending on how Spiller and the rest develop

I love Zion and Khalil Mack.

Absolutely NOTHING from the 3rd round pick, FS JT Woods.

Isaish Spiller was the club's 4th round pick, and he didn't take more than one snap until the team's 8th game...

5th round: DT Otito Ogbonnia. I like him, but expect very little from him this year.

6th round (A): Starting LT replacing an injured Rashawn Slater. Jamaree Salyer. Oh, hell yah! What a colossal break it was, having this guy to fall back on, rather than Storm Norton.

6th round (B): DB JaSir Taylor

7th round: (A): DB Deane Leonard

7th round (B): FB Zander Horvath

Each of these final three guys has been doing exactly what you'd HOPE a 6th or 7th draft pick *would* be doing: contributing on special teams, and showing a degree of promise to be significant contributors on either offense or defense.

This early? I give the draft a solid B.

Very well said, especially your point about the last three picks. This has been solid draft class. Otito has played decent in the limited time, but he will be getting a lot more playing time with Austin out.

solid, but the JC signing is painful. That much cap should only go to an all pro type Edge or OT/OL

Holy smokes, you guys are tough graders.
            1. Solid STARTER who looks to improve.
            2. K Mack.
            3. Woods, meh.
            4. Spiller- shined in pre-season, hurt, now back and playing well.
            5. Ogbonnia- meh.
            6. Salyer- a STEAL.

All made the team, all are contributing, some are solid starters and maybe special. That's a STRONG A.

Hey, Perry, great to hear from you! Okay, if yer gonna include Mack, then I can upgrade my B to an A-...The Woods pick drags things down a bit...hope he still pans out...

                It's too early to say
                But it's look good
Your #1-4-6 could be starter or backup #1
Your 2nd gave you a Probowl LB
Still some hope with the others
I think it could be an hypothetical A

Thanks! I just don't seem to have the time to come in here as much as I'd like. Nice to see everyone now and then.

Gotta give it an A you get 2 starting caliber Oline in 1 draft. That's something neither he nor AJ Smith ever did before.

Telesco has proven he can pick two or three good players in nearly every draft. He just hasn't shown he knows how to build a consistent winner, even though he has had a great quarterback every year. It's quite unbelievable, when you really think about it.

Agreed its an A for sure when you factor in Mack. Just Mack alone is close to an A, plus Zion and Salyer.
