Less than 24 hours after the Chargers parted ways with Jerry Tillery, coach Brandon Staley addressed the factors that contributed to the veteran defensive lineman’s sudden release.

The Chargers waived Tillery, a 2019 first-round pick, on Thursday night, a move general manager Tom Telesco said was “not an easy decision” in a statement announcing the news.

We’ve known for awhile that TT is John Spanos’ puppet, it means that Brandon is on the outs with John Spanos not TT, this coach is trying to stand up to the culture in the FO…typical Spanos bullshit since year fucking one…

Seven teams put a claim in. Sounds like a trade market was available but TT was too busy??? Even for a 7th would be better than zip.

The plan was a to get a comp in 2024, it probably might’ve been a 5-6 round pick so equivalent to a 6-7 pick in 2023. The guy threw a tantrum and started some shit with a couple of teammates to get himself bounced…he wouldn't have been cut otherwise, but when you have someone unwilling to accept their role it kind of puts the team in a tough spot…

Yes, but they should have know what they have in Tillary. If this board was told that a player on the team threw a tantrum; most would have guessed it was Tillary.

Well, they won't have to waste a pick on their DL, they have Tillery. A match made in heaven.

Per Schefter it was 8 teams including some pretty good ones. Lots of teams saw something to like in Tillery

Raiders insist on collecting ex-Charger players. Who thinks this is a good idea?

Result: Raiders have the highest losing percentage over the last 20 years, surpassed only by the Cleveland Browns.

Til then I just want him to reach his draft status potential..I don't hate him, I liked the pick but he is underachieving.

I'm not even sure they will excercise his 5th year option at this point.
But I'm always hopeful while he is wearing a Bolts uniform.
We felt it when he was out of the line-up last night. Defense wasn't the problem for us losing.
