MW won't be back for Az. A high ankle sprain takes many weeks to heal. He should not have been active last week.

Staley has said there is a chance MW plays Sunday. According to Staley, MW didn't reinjure his ankle in the KC game. So he he will have had another week of recovery. He looked like he was close last weekend.

I hope they give Stone Smartt more work as TE2. If we have to outscore teams at least we have the personnel now to do it.

I have a fantasy of the three deep TE corps of Everett, Parham and Smartt as an up and coming player on his way to being an extra playmaker for Herbert. Think of this with a WR corps of KA/MW/JP/DC and a RB corps of AE/JK, everyone healthy and on the field as weapons for Herbert to exploit.

Coulda drafted Simmons in 2020 then gotten Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Mac Jones, Trey Lance or Justin Fields in 2021 and no Rashawn Slater.

The thing that is weird here is that it is almost like the coach would mislead the other team regarding injury status. It is a foreign concept but here me out, what if, a coach put out conflicting and misleading information regarding a top player so as to make it more difficult to game plan and have a solid idea as to who is playing. This idea could really catch on in the NFL some day.
