No telling how long it'll last but I want to see this D front 7 come out healthy, take a game over and start subbing our depth.Call the shot and send them.
Do that and the DBs will have some fun.
Depth is always a question but if the starters are rockin and rolling, we can rotate subs in more often. They learn more playing in a successful front.
I very much like Bosa, A Johnson, Bash, Fox, Mack
    K9, Kendricks.
Do you prefer JaSir Taylor or Bryce Callahan?
Rumph, Tuli or Kyle Van Noy?

It will never happen when they are sitting on the bench, because you are sticking vets out there.
30 year + vets wear out at the season's end.

They liked JaSir Taylor a lot. He looked good throughout the season, and then looked like crap in the playoff game.
2nd year players get quite a bit better.

With Van Noy, I guess they don't need him at linebacker because of Henley,
and they would prefer to go with Tuli/Rumph at edge.

Do you have faith in the Chargers ability to make such evaluations?
I don't - but I can see what they are thinking.
Not really. I'm not a fan of the 'run it back' process they're engaged with this year either. I don't have much confidence that management's on the right track . . . . . .

Game one vs Mia I prefer the vets. For the season, the others.

What is the 'run it back' process that you see?

I'm referring to the much discussed contract extensions to Bosa, Mack, KA & MW. There's at least one giant thread about this. We don't need to rehash it here, and we won't know until the season gets rolling if it was the right move, so we'll just have to wait to find out - the team's committed to these guys now.

I want to comment about Stick. You aren't the first one I've seen with that kind of remark for Stick and I wonder why? He's never even played a down in the preseason or the season with the number ones. Is it fair to put a QB out there with a bunch of scrubs and then make a judgment that they stink?

You may be right but imo, we haven't seen much evidence about him. I don't think we will again this year since Staley sits his best players in the preseason and I don't expect to see Stick play in the regular season. What little I've seen I'd say he has a decent arm and he can hurt teams with his legs but does he see the field? Will he find the best guy to throw it to on most plays or will he throw it into coverage? I'm telling you, there's a lot we don't know about Stick.

The first play of this vid might help explain why they didn't bring Tranquill back. Derwin whiffed too.

                    Tranquil choses the wrong gap,
Van Noy fails to set the edge.
Murray runs into Van Noy's back, not quite certain where the rb is.

Charger run D in midseason form.

I was referring to the end of the play, where Tranquill has his leg but still can't bring him down.

                        The rb is 220 pounds.
Well he screwed up twice and the RB got a 44 yd gain. The RB may be 220 lb, but Tranquill still outweighs him by 15 lbs and had him wrapped up downfield but couldn't hang on. And Derwin whiffed completely.
