Flores as the new DC for the Vikings and Evero as DC to the Panthers. That's a missed opportunity for the Chargers. Smartest off-season move with really good DC's available on the market was to hire one of them and have Staley give up play-calling duties so he could focus on learning how to provide better oversight to the team as a HC.

Agreed. Evero would have been a great fit. Staley knows him from the Rams and Evero runs the defense Staley likes. But as much sense as it makes to all of us, it will never happen. Staley wants to sink or swim on his own -- lot like it sound McCarthy is doing this upcoming season in Dallas on the offensive side.

Year 2 - upgrade the ST coach
Year 3 - upgrade the OC
Year 4 - if there is one, maybe forced to upgrade the DC

Vikings likely to scrap the Fangio defense for the Flores cover zero approach. Donatell was even worse than Staley at trying to run that d in minnesota, if you can believe it. Still wating to read that Eddy D has been hired as our ILB coach.
