McCoy, even when he was in Denver hardly ever uses the FB in his "system" whatever the fuck his system really is.

His system is to run were there's no hole and stick with it no matter what. Very innovative, few teams have the cajones to stick with it

He's made a lot of bad free agent decisions but if you draft a RG at #11 he better be an all pro. And trading up for a RB in round one he's gotta be a game changer

You will only remember that the team used multiple draft picks on a player when they are only average or less than average (Meh-o, Mathews etc.). Nobody will remember the number of picks if they were all-pros/probowlers (Weddle...I think we traded 3 draft picks to get him?)

Chargers blocked from talking to one promising NFL assistant

NFL teams usually play ball with each other with assistant interviews. Not the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers don't want teams talking to defensive line coach Joe Cullen.

So, they've blocked the San Diego Chargers from talking to their promising assistant about any openings, according to FOX Sports NFL Insider Mike Garafolo.


Cullen was one of only two assistants retained from the Lovie Smith regime. He's maximized a Buccaneers pass rush, despite lacking talent there.


That's exactly the kind of coach a talent-poor Chargers staff would need. But curiously, the Bucs blocked Cullen from interviewing after they fired his now-former boss.

Cullen must have great value in Tampa Bay to be denied opportunities elsewhere.
