    ps Philly was #8 D 20.2 ppg, #3 O 28.1 ppg
    KC # 16 D 21.7 ppg, #1 O 29.2 ppg

They were both close and balanced. and IMO KC had the mist impactful D star in the SB game. Chris Jones ( who won the game for KC )
along with the top passing QB.

#1 O, #16 D is balanced? I’d call that an offensive team, personally. I agree #32 D is problematic to ever make it through the playoffs, I’m not saying D is meaningless, just noting that Offense has become more important, by intention and design of the league.

Both were top offenses. The balance existed in that neither had a serious weakness in their D or STs. They were avg or better.
A team can go all the way with a #1 scoring D but must be avg or better O & STs.
Agree that the NFL leans heavily toward passing offense. Which is nice for us. The Chargers are built to throw the ball.

Looks like we got a new assistant defensive back coach. Nice!

Will Harris looks like a good hire. He did good work with UW players that are in the NFL.
Woods, Taylor, Leonard, come on up!

Sounds like that #1 O carried that D. If the O was middling, the D would be ranked far, far lower.

                Average carries their own weight.
