The question is whether you bring in competition and in what round?

Pass on a guy you like in the first 4 rounds because you want to see what Spiller brings in his 2nd year?

I wouldn't.

My answer would depend on Ekeler and what we do in the rest of FA. If he is back I’d draft a day 3 back. If he is gone, much higher.

Don’t ask we why I read that as Ernest Jackson. We squeezed a Pro Bowl out of him in the early 80’s, not bad for an 8rd pick. He’s in his 60’s now so I guess not really an option.
