Happy the guy gets another chance with us. He looked like he was quite the find, then injuries happened. Hope he doesn't have
lingering concussion issues. Maybe we finally get to see him have a breakout season. This probably means we're not getting Shultz.

We let Parham go, then sign him back? Wouldn't tender him, then we lowballed the kid?

Other possibility....we were gunning for Schultz, and let the kid test the market...but then it fell through, and we rang the kid back to keep our depth.

Also, I didn't think the tender was that much...how much money did we even save?

Moore hopefully will find a way to exploit him in the redzone unlike Lombo.

Parham has at most four years of service (2019 through 2022), so his minimum salary is $1,080,000:

Tracking the status and signings of all NFL transition tags.

The lowest RFA tender is $2,627,000:

                  https://overthecap.com/franchise-tra...nd-rfa-tenders

So there actually is a $1.5M difference.

Given his injury history and having to sit out multiple games this is more than fair. If we can get some production out of him for 10 games a season then it's fair for both parties. i just don't see him durable enough for $2.6 mil.

It sounds like the team didn't have any problems with the contract discussions, so no need for the RFA tender. Glad he's still a Charger.
