I thought it was a clean hit. Willie got lit up by Bostic. Someone in the comments said that nfl.com promoted it as a spectacular hit now they took that down. I don't agree with this one, even though it was against our team.

The folks in the NFL fines department have an issue with a big hit on a little Willie...

I don't agree with this either. Hits like that are one of the reasons I love watching football.

Excuse me, but what the fuck kind of play design was that? Running a wr back towards the LBs and throwing him the ball without clearing out the LBs? They set him up get to get killed.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Maybe they maxed out everything they could get out of selling it as a clean hit, so they just decided to make an extra $21K on the back end?

Absolute garbage that they fine that hit. It was almost perfect. They said he 'led with the crown of his helmet' when he head clearly was to the side and he used his arms; there was helmet to helmet contact but it was definitely not the first contact made nor the intention of the hit and his head was up for the most part.

NFL just has to make money. I remember I had made a thread on the old forum a couple years back about the hypocrisy on hitting and how the NFL loves to use these big hits to advertise yet they chastise and fine the same hits.

I agree. Completely ridiculous fine. Clean hit. Tremendous clean hit, but clean nontheless. If hits like that are getting fined...changes are indeed coming. It's going to end up being a 7 on 7 passing league.

It's just because it was a hit on a willie. That would make any guy cringe.

If Willie was defenseless on that play, then every player ever hit in the history of the NFL was defenseless too. What a bunch of hoarse shite.
I'm just about done with this League. Unfuckingbelievable.

if i remember correctly, whitehurst audibled to that play. i think it was supposed to be a WR screen but harris was late on his blocking assignment.

edit: just watched it again. thats exactly what it was and what happened. get used to plays like that this year. hopefully fluker executes better than dumbshit harris.
