    Build your O Line

    Robinson, Trevor C
    Walton, J.D. C
    Watt, Chris C-G
    Fluker, D.J. G
    Franklin, Orlando G

    Troutman, Johnnie G
    Huey, Michael G
    Wiggins, Kenny G-T
    Barksdale, Joe T
    Burwell, Tyreek T
    Dunlap, King T
    Hairston, Chris T

    Linkenbach, Jeffrey T

Build your O line. I already have 8 guys who have a shot to make the team. We need a new C. That makes 9 which is the most the Bolts will keep. Who do you bring in, who do you cut? Can Burwell play OLT? This is the biggest question on the team.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

I too would like Nelson. I think he fits the bill and gives us some flexibilty in the draft to still take Ramsey since he can play cb or safety.

I agree that Kelly looks like Plan B for TT. He has to get in more C help. I had a lot of hope for the future of Burwell as a smaller, quicker T to match up with the smaller, quicker pass rushers.

That's probably the best of the bunch FTO. I'd be quite happy to start from there, and as Fleet has suggested, grab Kelly( if he's still there, which doesn't look promising)

Didn't Whiz run a pretty quick-hit passing attack when he was here, at least as compared to Reich's? Whiz back, jumping on TB right away, ditching Green... methinks we're gonna see a lot of Gordon and quick-developing patterns, which should help the Oline a lot. We could end up with a nicely complimentary O, one which doesn't require as much sustain on the blocks. If they can just find a way to get Gordon on track...

It's going to be real interesting to see what TT does at center. I know he and the coaches are much higher on Watt than anyone on this board is, but they can't ignore the injuries the past 2 years. Do they draft someone and let them battle it out in camp? Or sign a veteran? Whatever he decides we definitely need a legitimate backup because Robinson may be the worst Charger center I have ever seen.

I'm hoping for either Wisniewski via FA or Kelly in the draft at starting C. If TT wants to stay with Watt as the starter then taking someone like Blythe in the 6th to groom/ start at C after the second game would be nice.

Hairston, Troutman, Linkenbach and Walton were not resigned. That kind of limits the options.

We have had excellent centers. Macek. Hall. Hardwick. It's pretty easy to be the worst Chargers center I've ever seen. I'm not sure Robinson is worse than Watt.

Easily worse. Watt has struggled because of injury. Robinson struggled because of lack of talent.

Agree with you on Watt, but can you give examples of Robinson struggling because of lack of talent and was he worse than the other guy we picked up (Walton)? Remember Watt was annointed the starter back in camps and got most the 1st team reps and also the constantly shifting rotation of OGs playing next to Robinson. There's no way he could have played as well as someone who had worked with the same guys for many months. IIRC, Rivers had to take over line calls during the season, but that seemed to change back to OC after Watt was out of the picture and Robinson played more. I could be wrong though.
