I saw one last game. Ekeler had 4 receptions last game in fact.

This team gets blown up easily when they try to do screens with the RBs, it seems.

I took a bit of heat last year when I said Lombardi wasn't the main problem.

    Now here we are...

With no run game we should have gone to the short passing game, bubble screens, get our WRs involved in the flat. After
Eklers 28 yard pass play the Cowboys were keying on him. Moore could have gotten creative since Herbert was
uncomfortable in the pocket all night.
The Vikings blitzed us on 81.6% of our passing attempts.

I think Minnesota blitzed is at a much higher rate. Might want to check that highest in the NFL this far

Center is my biggest worry, although Jones is sometimes a bigger menace at DE.
I know the coaching staff is hesitate to start swapping out the OL, but considering how much they struggled off a bye in their regular positions, I'd like to see Zion take snaps at OC
    Jaimes at LG.
I think there's a better chance at the opposite, but imo Zion is the only one with a chance to excel at OC and give Herbo a better pocket.
Jaimes should thrive between 2 first round talents.

The Chargers on the other hand with this coach & culture are running around like chickens with their heads cut off! Staley can't even figure out what to do to win a game! It's true he's in over his head and it's been this way the day he was hired!
You started well, then go after Staley when the offense collapses. Apparently Staley should have kept Lombardi.

I'll be traveling on Sunday, so I'll probably avoid seeing any updates so I don't curse out loud on the plane. I'll just record it and maybe watch it Monday.......if we win.

I would argue Lombardi was better equipped to attack the chiefs than Kellen Moore. The chiefs are pretty solid inside & tough to run the ball against inside. In the passing game they don't really have consistent coverages they just rotate through a lot of coverages throwing shit against the wall and seeing what sticks trying to create a negative play, but they are apt to make mistakes and you can catch them if you continually apply pressure in the passing game. Then if they get you in 3rd and long they unleash a very diverse pressure package which makes things difficult.

Lombardi was willing to utilize the quick passing game throwing the ball nearly every snap & throwing tons of RB screens which stressed the chiefs coverages & blitz schemes. I think that's an ideal way to attack them.

Defensively, Bosa jumps offsides and we never contain the pocket against the chiefs which allows Mahomes to get outside & scramble. Staley hasn't covered Kelce once in the 4 games hes played them. Chiefs coming off 10 days rest vs a short week for this football team - Put all that together & it should be an easy chiefs W.
