Th playbook is the same though. Every team has some plays reserved that they dont use much but think it might do well against certain teams. Maybe we dont change much, and many teams dont vent away from their bread and butter and thats where we just have to block better and we havent done that.

I agree. But, unless we are planning to cheat, New Cheatland isn't a good example to follow.

Instead they chose the NOrvian pound a square peg into a round hole approach - with predictable results.
          Two words: microfracture surgery.

He could have learned how to run the ball in this offense....but now he may never heal correctly.

If you watched his NFL documentary, you would know he takes after Paul 'Bear' Bryant.

            Is that called Bearditude?

Last word was he is 100% recovered and healthy and ready for TC. People are overreacting to that procedure. All it does is try to stimulate a cartilage regrowth in a targeted area that was worn. He probably played on it for years with no problem, but they decided to try it since they were already operating on him anyway. Even if it doesn't work, he's no worse off than before they tried it.

Weren't they talking about Myles Jack's knee being some kind of time bomb because of this surgery? Is that because of his injury or the nature of the procedure? Is Gordon's surgery to correct a different problem?

Gordon's was supposedly a much smaller area overall. Seemed it was done to stimulate a bit of cartilage growth while the bulk of the repair was more orthodox, IIRC.

I'll believe it when I see it.

I've heard a lot of that with people's knees....for every Adrian Peterson, there are a dozen or so people that don't heal 100%....not saying he may or may not, just that the odds are pretty long of a full recovery happening.

And you got that idea where exactly? It's extremely rare to NOT have a full easy recovery from a simple cartilage surgery. Just because they did a little extra with the micro fracture procedure in a limited area has no effect on integrity of the knee overall. I got the impression the area was about the size of a dime. Again he probably played for a long time with worn areas and it was just convenient to do the procedure while they were in there repairing the injury that landed him on IR.
