Hey, y'all. We've got one thread about a stadium, another about the Arizona Cardinals reality show, and another about a contract negotiation. That's all interesting stuff, but I think most of us got on here to talk San Diego Chargers football.
I'm going positive here.
We had fewer offensive-line injuries when Whis was in charge of our offense the first time, so I'm hoping it was his coaching method that kept us relatively healthy in McCoy's first year.
If we are that healthy on the line again and it turns out our new center can block, Rivers could really do some damage to opposing defenses. We were one play away from making it to the AFC Championship game a couple years ago, and I feel like our pass rush on defense has improved since then. Maybe this year we make that play that turns us into champions.
I know some of us are down on McCoy. I don't like him as the coach of a team that needs to take big risks in order to win (that was our team last year so we had the wrong coach.) But, if we actually block this year, we won't need to be super aggressive to win. McCoy proved he was good enough a couple years ago when he had at least a mediocre offensive line; he can do it again.
