You searched and couldn't find anything positive about the guy while head coach, huh? That is what i take out of this.

What about the numerous media pundits who praised Mike McCoy as being at the cutting edge of offensive football, during his 2nd season with the Chargers?
Do you think it fair that any arguments against Mike McCoy are roundly defeated by the simple assertion that he was once deemed at the cutting edge of his profession?

I am fully expecting you to say no, it is not fair, and I now retract any semblance of a positive opinion towards the former failed head coach of this team.

Otherwise, this is just getting silly on your part.
I'll give you Tomlin, give me Watt. I'll give you Reid. Give me Mahomes. I'll give you McVay, Give me Donald. I'll give you Shanahan. Give me Nick Bosa. Etc, etc, etc. I'll give you the entire coaching staff supreme and all they braintrust and coaching acumen. Then I'll take Lynn as HC, McCoy as OC, Staley as DC and all those players per coach exchanges and beat your ass. With the 3 Telesco Scapegoats.
Who has it better than us?

Are you taking Herbert and Rivers?

You get all those coaches and this years Chargers roster with its 100mil on IR. Good luck.

When Lynn got fired in spite of the 4 game win streak to end the 2020 season, the Spanos (mainly Dean) had already decided to let him go. Remember the loss to the Patriots? That's what did it. The loss to the Patriots in 2020 was humiliating just like the loss to the Raiders in week 15 of 2023.

Telesco was a bigger problem than the HCs. Because of the way he operates. Keeping him around for so long when he accomplished less than AJ Smth was ridiculous.

People only want to bash the Spanos for things that go wrong. But not give them credit for when they do do something right. I pray that Dean does deliver on the statement he made and regarding his commitment.

Let Critty have his opinion bro. Most of us disagree but there’s no need for constant argumentative rebuttal to him. I think he suffers from invalid mutual exclusivity. He argues TT should have been fired, not coaches (Lynn and Staley). He believes that SINCE TT was at fault, we can’t blame the coaches. I argue that is flawed logic, they are independent and we certainly can evaluate both separately. they all should have fired.

            Whatevs - Merry Christmas everyone!!!

The last game the team did play better. Not just the score returned to our usual <3 pt loss vs two consecutive beat downs. We did that against a much better team also - or maybe they are. Lol. I think they are.

And you get the Hall of Fame roster and the 3 headed monster for your coaching staff?

Even that collection of bozos might succeed.

It's diverting in an otherwise uneventful end to the season ... but okay, I'll put it to rest.

You're up Critty, get your last good shot in!

Tommy T needed to be fired for supplying us with massively subpar olines and way overpaid defenders. Enough for me to see his problems. Herbert extended his career here for 3 more years.
