And 30 yard runs like the one that won the Rose Bowl.

We do not play modern football.

      Our balance will be Run/Pass
      and
      Day/Roman.

Definitely not with the WR we currently have. He only exceeded 5000 yards 1 time.

Falcons didn't have a running QB and they were 3rd with 8 more passes than rushes and they played from behind often.

There are a handful of teams that were close ratio. Titans had 50 more passes, also playing from behind often
Giants 54 more passes, also playing from behind often

Not sure the argument. Do we not agree we will run a lot more with Harbaugh and Roman?
I agree we will run more but the teams you listed with more runs than passes had running QBs. Lamar ran it 148 times. Take that down to adjust for Herbert and the numbers flip. Atlanta, TN and the Giants all have superstar RBs and shitty QBs.

hopefully we'll be a good enough running team to put teams away in the 4th when they're worn down.

Without checking stats the best run game Herbert had was against Pittsburgh at SoFi a couple of years ago. He had huge running lanes and took advantage of it. I'd like to see him do that more. B

I remember Pit mostly played man so they have their backs on Herbert. I don’t think he can do that with zone or spy.

                    EDGE and Off LOS.
I have been out on LBs anyhow w/Denzel, Dye, Niemann, Henley here.
If not KVN, I see a late, cheap vet w/ST snaps involved.

Van Noy would be excellent if cheap.

Teams with new head coaches can report to "work" next Monday, April 2 -- now I think that just means workouts with Herbert

But a good chance to see how Rumph is coming along. And if not, sign KVN. Well sign him anyway

KVN seems like the kind of guy Hortiz would sign and would be a great help with Minter installing his defense. Just a very likeable and smart player.

Chargers could always use another Edge player -- can't trust Rumph yet

Probably would be pretty cheap to sign
