good times.
awesome comeback - but have to keep winning as LA and AZ keep winning!
Machado going yard
Profar going yard after being down 5-3
just need to get Tatis back - hopefully around Labor Day
and if Yu Darvish can get back (of course - sensitive to his personal situation)

Way back when, I attended a lot of Padre games with buddies from work, We'd drink too much beer and then drive home. I don't know why I never got pulled over.
We went to the games even before they were a MLB team. Was it called Westlake Park? There was a large shopping center there the last time I visited SD. I loved the right fielder (Brown?), he had a great arm.THE YEAR OF THE FLIP!

Show me whom I called a name, and I'll apologize.
THIS is your allegation that I called someone a name?!?
Who are you saying was called a "name" here? And what name?
I refer to an entire community as "grown ass adults". Is this the 'name' you're talking about? Is someone offended that I included them in the grouping of grown ups?
Because calling someone an adult is offensive?
You're going to have to do better than that. This is your second huge swing and miss in two consecutive posts. If you have an actual point, some credible evidence would be helpful.
However, to make good on my promise, I'm saying here and now, for the record:
I apologize to anyone who was offended by my referring to the TPB community as 'grown ass adults'. If this is too general, I encourage any offended person to contact me directly for a less general apology.“Less is more? NO NO NO - MORE is MORE!”

man some god-awful teams
close to 50 years a Padres fan, My guess, the Padres could go undefeated for a couple years and the record will still be well under .500 for those 50 years
hope springs though
As for the Chargers -- lets get to the regular season - I really want to see the first team players
Pads all-time: 4105-4703. They just need to win 600 games in a row to get to 0.500. They are almost 20 games over .500 right now, so as alternative - they could just play their current ball level for 30 years and voila!“Less is more? NO NO NO - MORE is MORE!”

Fehoko didn't have a great 10 yard (1.59). It's not bad, but not real great.
He has that build up speed, which is good too, to pull away. His 3 cone for his size is pretty decent too.
Im not sure why he hasn't stuck anywhere.

Did simi fehoo run the 40 at the combine? ChatGPT said:

Simi Fehoko did not run the 40-yard dash at the 2021 NFL Scouting Combine. He was a standout wide receiver from Stanford and participated in other drills, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Combine was mostly virtual and many drills were conducted at Pro Days instead. Fehoko did run the 40-yard dash at Stanford's Pro Day, where he recorded a time of 4.43 seconds.

You’re right—Simi Fehoko ran impressive 40-yard dash times at his Pro Day. He recorded times of 4.39 and 4.37 seconds. These times showcased his speed and athleticism, which contributed to his draft stock and highlighted his potential as a deep threat in the NFL. Thanks for pointing that out!
Where is this "OFFICIAL" 4.44 time coming from (I'm curious) if he did NOT run at the Combine due to Covid? Where's that source? I want to look it up.
Why not just count the AT CHAT GPT (That I corrected).
Why not just count the "Unofficial At the Pro Day" time?
Wasn't "unofficial" counting as" official" since there was no combine that Covid year. What if he never ran in the 1st place? What do you have to go by?
Bottom line is, he's FAST.for a BIG 6'4" 218-227 guy.

math, not questions of history. I've asked it questions at work, normally about what does FDA require for this or that speciific study or performance metric, and it will give me a general answer. I'll ask it for the link and it NEVER can point to an actual source that has anything I asked for. I'm just not impressed with that tool yet, I'm sure it will continue to get better and for basic facts, maybe its better. If there is any political implication, it seems very skewed towards an opinion vs a fact.“Less is more? NO NO NO - MORE is MORE!”

When somebody doesn't run at the combine their official times show up on on nfldraftscout and they also show up sometimes in another comebine site that shows all their comenine and /or proday results. Draftscout is a real good source and I'd trust that over ChatGPT lol.
There are articles from his proday that say he ran 'unofficial times" of 4.39 and 4.37. NFL.com.has those unofficial times
Here is another one with his proday results with the 4.44. not don't say official but when it's all updated after the UN official times, I assume that is the official time with Draftscout.
But, who knows since there isn't anything with the word official that I've seen. Only Unofficial
But again I'll state, it don't really matter. Guyton ran a 4.38 and he isn't good at anything else as a receiver.
A 40 time does not define how good a WR will be! If it did, Keenan would of been out of the league long ago.
But, if you want to keep the thought he runs a 4.37, then cool, you do that!
He is still more a Guyton talent than McConkey.Last edited by Boltjolt; 08-21-2024, 11:58 AM.

Fehoko > Guyton because of size, weight (with speed), special teams prowess. JG was just speed. Makes sense to me, what do you think?

no matter to me, I just enjoy them when they win like two years ago and this year and like last year, can always say "I have seen worse"
I used to listen on an AM transitor - it was KOGO 600 at the start. Forgot when the moved to KFMB . Jerry Coleman, Bob Chandler, Dave "Soup" Campbell (he was really good) - but the year Coleman took over as manager it was Eddie Doucette, he was terrible. Rick Monday joined at one time - always thought he was a secret Dodger lover - never really became part of the Padrdes culture like Orsillo has done now
Memories
Now about the Chargers - Bo Nix named starter -- what team is going to send a draft pick for Jarrett Stidham if Zach Wilson is doing well in his back up role?
Looks like the Browns want to possibly trade the guy with three names, DOrian something Thompson
