I think McCoy is a much better coach than Riley. Better leader and better X&O guy. He also works well with QB. Riley is just a nice guy that works well with people and can make his players feel good, that's all. Also, McCoy hired better coaches. I can't think of any more positives out of Riley.

Obviously, McCoy have been failing in SD so far. It takes a much more to coach and compete at this highest level.

Totally different, IMO.

Riley is extremely personable. McCoy is generic, Mr. Coachspeak.

Riley had one of the worst teams in Chargers history... Ryan Leaf, Kenny Bynum as RB, etc... that team played hard, even though outmanned.

McCoy's teams, for whatever reason, fall short.

I'm not saying either is better or worse...

McCoy's teams played hard and played well at most aspects for..... 50 minutes. He's just too coward on game day and his teams failed in money time, in clutch situations. SD under McCoy have been terrible at situational football. The results is a lot of close losses, 4th quarter and overtimes point-differential, and a lot of "should be" and "could have".
