Seems to me the bar has been lowered once they inducted Lofton. Rivers easily makes it over that standard.

QBs usually need a SB, and Rivers is probably the most under rated QB in NFL history, so not a sure thing.

Plenty of QBs in HOF that haven't won Superbowls: Marino, Fouts, Tarkenton, Moon, ... If we follow Lofton's approach, more than half HOFers shouldn't be in there. Lofton is full of it.

One thing that is not accounted for and under appreciated about Rivers, is that he played in a tough division for so long. As good as Brady, Manning and Brees are, they played in weak divisions for majority of their careers, and I wonder how they would have done if they had to play in some of toughest venues like Arrowhead, Mile High & Coliseum every year.

If that's his reasoning, where is his ring? Why is it the QB has to have a ring but a WR does not? In relation to their positions they played, Rivers is a better QB than Lofton was as a WR.
