Starting with Atlanta game, McCoy/Whiz wanted to throw the ball down field a lot more, where earlier in the year we were mainly a short passing offense. That has forced Rivers to hold on to the ball longer, getting him beat up by strong pass rush from Atlanta & Denver. As opposed to earlier games, he was hardly touched since he was quickly getting rid of the ball.

One reason being that our current receivers are not decent route runners and there isn't a possession receiver in the bunch. But they are fast, and Whiz is trying to take advantage of that by using deeper routes to get these guys to gain some separation. On other hand, it puts more pressure on OL and Rivers in pass protection and will likely lead to Rivers getting a beating.

It doesn't make sense, acquiring big/tall receivers that can't catch in traffic or beat press coverage & get open on the short routes.

McFuckface and Telesco, are just not on the same page. We acquire big OL, but we run a blocking scheme that needs smaller quicker OL, no possession WRs other than Keenan yet we run a short passing O, we drafted a fullback as if we'll be a run heavy team then barely plays....
