I like Tyler Warren a little more than you... but Top-10...? Ouch! The Jets have other needs, too.
I think Tyler Warren goes @#14 to the Colts. He reminds me of Dallas Clark. Colts need more offensive weapons.
I think Colston Loveland would make an excellent target for Sam Darnold in Seattle (#18).

Should we trade back to #30... I'm comfortable with Mason Taylor.
Should we pass on Taylor... I could see the Chiefs or Eagles taking him.

The Jets would take Mason Taylor with the 42nd pick almost no doubt (after passing on TE in the 1st round).
They might even select Fannin or Orroyo @#44. Justin Fields needs more than Garrett Wilson and Josh Reynolds.
Fields can PRO (with Bryce Hall)... it would be a real asset to have a good TE. Fannin or Orroyo would thrive in that situation.

After those 5 TE's... the only other TE that I like is Terrence Ferguson. But mainly, he was a dump-off, designed screen kind of receiver. It wasn't his fault that he didn't run seam routes... it was the play design... but I have no idea about his abilities as a route runner. Even though he ran fast, he didn't seem to be as fluid an athlete as most of the others. I have a late 3rd round grade on him. When I compare him to other 3rd round prospects... I don't think he's BPA in the 3rd.

Brinningstool and Helm are too slow for my likes. Conklin would be better than them IMO.

Edit: Beach's guy Gadsden looks like a good receiver... I'm guessing a 4th rounder...? But really, he's just a big receiver... he wouldn't do most of the other stuff than Roman/Harbaugh want a TE to do. If they wanted Gadsden's skillset... why wouldn't they just keep Stone Smartt...?

Consensus has Warren to Bears and Colston to Colts.

“I have convinced myself that the right Panthers draft strategy is to draft Tet McMillan in the 1st then just draft 8 defensive players with the rest of their draft picks . It’s the most effective and efficient way they can win this draft. Don’t F this up.”

Consensus is fine... but it only takes one "out-of-the-box" decision to make other dominoes fall.
For instance, the Giants could say "F-it"... we need a QB... and they take one @#3.
Or Pete Carroll could decide that RB Ashton Jeanty isn't the best fit... or decide that building the defense is more important.

Some mocks have Jeanty going to the Bears...
If there is any consensus about this draft... it's that there is no consensus about this draft.
        Protect the QB
        Run the ball
        Play great defense

That is absolutely true but the consensus top 8 picks are soundng more set as we get closer to the draft

          Ward
          Hunter
          Carter
          Campbell
          Graham
          Jeanty
          Membou
          Walker

Like I said, if the Giants decide to draft/sit Sanders behind an aging Russell Wilson...
How long before Nabers gets frustrated playing with sub-par QB's...? Seems like a waste of his talent.

The Raiders have been linked to CB Will Johnson lately... what will Pete Carrol's influence be on the roster?
What if Graham slides past Jacksonville..? Do the Raiders take him?

Let's assume Loveland and Warren both going top 15, we stay put at 22nd and pick CB or Edge. Then Mason and Arroyo off the board before we pick at 55 where we chose let say DT.

If board play out this way would you trade 3rd rd to Ravens for Mark Andrews?
              I would.

So after watching the presser, I want to go back to yesterdays question of "why does it matter that Taylor is only 20" right now.

At the very end of that presser he was asked about,. ..why sign Trey Lance?

First thing he said was was Trey is still younger than many of the players in this draft.
Plus they really like his character but we are talking about a 3rd string QB and he named his age first as a factor. Got some NFL experience. Seems he was just more a project than anyone thought and Shanny Jr and Lynch somehow couldn't see it.

It doesn't have the top-end QB's, OT's and Edge rushers that most drafts have.
The WR's and CB's just seem OK, too.

It would be an interesting exercise to list the true 1st round grades (as compared to prior years drafts).
The problem with having so few true 1st rounders (but fairly deep)... no one wants to trade up.

I suspect we'll pick for need this draft (as long as a clear BPA doesn't exist).
Maybe that's why the Chargers had official visits with Taylor, Ezeiruaku...?
You didnt tag me right in this thread. lol Lucky i saw it. I still think we could somehow get up for Colston. I really do feel like they want him bad. My gut does this to me. But then again it could just be me wanting him so bad. Id rather have him over Warren. I like the Dissly/Colston pairing. He is more gigantic WR than TE to me. I love Warren i just dont think we would use him the way he was in college. Im feeling a trade up. And with the draft deep with solid starters....but few top end guys...they may package a few picks. But yep you have to find a willing partner.

So many holes to fill--TE, OG, Edge, DT, RB, WR...I don't think we trade up, but u never know...

                      1. Ferguson drops passes. Stop salivating over athleticism.
                      2. Arroyo does not drop passes. Go ahead and salivate over athleticism.
                      3. Pop harping about Poona led to Hortiz stating that we made a competitive offer and it was Poona's decision to sign with the Rams.
                      4. Pop harping about IOL based on "what we saw last year" induced the Joe skankeye.

I am not sure if that means we are targeting Booker, so stifle yourself, or if it means leave Zion alone.
                      We play modern Harball.

Due to Zion's inconsistency last year, and due to not knowing if James will outplay Boze, I'd like to draft a swing G-C at least by round 3...

True... and Poona Ford has been cut by many teams because he is a 100% effort player BUT every team that had him wanted a bigger more dominant player.... this is what Pat Kirwin said on NFL radio.... Ford is good but not great.... most teams look for great.....he looked great compared to crap we had before.... OUR floor is rising....
