He had the chance to fall to the ground, get an injury pause, and get off the field. If he was not gonna run that play all out to the whistle, he had to do that. He just has to. Otherwise I’ll believe you’re too gassed when you collapse on the fucking field and have to be carried off. suck that shit up buttercup, its just another 3 fucking seconds!

Far from knocking, quite the opposite, he has WR potential.

Davis was my favorite pick last year, and I am proud to say I was THE first here on TPB to advocate for him as a replacement for deandre carter. (Flex, yawn)

Davis is a safe floor as a returner but like others, I'm wondering if the new rules will negativity impact him specific skill set and favor those with more lateral elusiveness. Imo Davis has great vision on returns but appears to need initial space between he and the defender to set up his moves. The new rules appears to have defenders already close, so the returner has less time to use vision and more importantly less space to set up moves. This is why some suggest more running backs will earn those roles.

If Davis is hindered and happens to prove himself useful as a WR (I believe this), I think Q might prove to be a better option as a retuner.
Q also has a bigger body that might be helpful breaking arm tackles, something Davis doesn't do, especially at high speeds.

I will try to stay positive with Q but if I'm being honest, I don't think he's going to be more than an average wr at best, not a re-sign guy. He plays small and not in a good way. I don't want to hijack the topic but I don't expect him to get much better so if he can be a dominant return guy, I'll do backflips.

At WR, DT Chark and L. McConkey have work to do.
I think we have improved 3 out of 4 positions
agree..... and even though MW and KA were great when on the field, I think our WR "group" is better depth wise as a whole right away, and will be even better in the long term! We have more playmkers now so we will be harder to defend......with so many options.....

I think the new offense is weaker at WR but the ground and pound style we will have now will hopefully rest the defense to make them better at closing out the fourth quarter.

I think there's a chance both QJ and Davis both increase their production by simply swapping out roles.
imagine QJ as a returner with his ability to make guys miss and with under rated speed.
Davis on reverses and screens, manufactured touches and even occasional go-routes.
I got the impression somewhere that under new kick off rules two returners may be an option..

Otherwise I think QJ is a receiver.

Just one of many ways in which Staley and staff found a way to lose a game.

And its not like Staley put a great deal of emphasis on conditioning.

Jim Harbaugh's 2024 Chargers will play their 1st game as a team on Sep 8 vs LVR.

Aside from that, they've all played football. Some find it fun to judge or rank them based on the recent past of individuals involved.

Q; Is this Chargers offense better than the 2023 #21 scoring offense that lost 21 - 63 in their last game vs LVR?

Ans: Very likely IMO. Very likely.
