you did not lie, good sir - it’s a wicked home list, assuming the most probable = next year’s teams are this year’s teams. Never know which teams jump up and fall down, but most tend to stay around the same. I wonder when they go to 18? The division games weighting keeps getting diluted, but I can’t imagine they go to 3ea = 9 division games. Or do they? Hmmm, they historically have wanted division winners to win their division, if that makes sense? If 12 games are outside the division, we’ll see more division winners that lost inside their division.

Did anyone actually watch Zeke’s carries this year to see how many were short yard 3rd/1 4th/1 dive lunge runs? Maybe he’s really only a 3ypg or maybe he’s got a bit of Haskin’s stat of being called in disproportionately for those short yardage plays vs the stacked box etc.? I don’t know … I hate watching the boys, rubs me the wrong way. Like after you get out of a pond covered with a layer of green algae scum

what i like most about this signing is the tenacity of Hortiz and Harbaugh. Never resting - always ready to bring in competition.

i doubt Zeke can make much of a difference in this short of a time, but we will see.

Zeke is the only guy to get lower every year in yards per game and yards per carry -- or hards in a season and yards per carry
he has been on a steady decline

don't hate the signing - why not kick the tires

He's only 29. He's had a good rest for a few weeks. He's ready to rumble.

I think Zeke is about toast but who knows - he might play a handful of plays and on one play get a blitz pick up that saves Herbert and another in short yardage, moves the chain
Could be enough help to win a game

Interesting. I don't know this writer, but he's re-ordered the 2024 draft based on rookie performances through 16 games. For instance, he has Jayden Daniels going first overall.

He has Alt going at #5 to the Chargers.

He has McConkey going at #13 to the Raiders (Bowers at #11 to the Jets).

He has Tarheeb Still going at #21 to the Dolphins.

Maybe he's a cousin of Joe Hortiz.

Explore our 2024 NFL Re-Draft as the 2024 NFL Season winds down. Does Jayden Daniels go No. 1? Is Malik Nabers the first receiver of the board? Explore our picks...

Only need 4 games worth of plays from him, (a little Otis Anderson action?) Then he can retire with a ring and get all the rest he wants.

He can also be an asset as a receiver out of the backfield, a role that the current stable of RBs is not doing much of. Elliot has 368 catches for 2718 yds and 14 TD receiving TDs in his career.

Don't get me wrong - I don't dislike the signing

I think Zeke is probably better in pass protection than Vidal at this point

short yardage - I think I would trust him more than Vidal

The Zeke that could handle the ball 20 times per game - -that guy is probably not coming back

But a play here, a play there - -and in close games, could be the difference. Like I wrote, say there is a third and 6 and he is in for blitz pickup over Vidal -- blitz is picked up, Herbert completes the pass, helps win the game.
Thats how I can see Zeke helping. Just a play here or there

                        Exactly right

Its a good signing for this time of year

Yep...Zeke's experience could make a difference...he's seen a lot and knows what to do in different situations to help the team and Herbie...whether it's a blitz pickup or peeling out into the flats for a quick outlet pass...not to mention the locker room presence...Zeke's never even been to a SB, so the extra adrenaline to get there might be worth a few more yards per carry...like this signing...
