If Dean wanted the team in San Diego, he could have made it work.

Spanos faced an amazing amount of opposition from city officials, several of whom famously declared that they'd never approve of ANY measure that gave so much as a dollar of public funds for building a stadium for the Chargers.

Yea I don't think they have any interest in trading for a WR. They like what they have and if need to a WR they will likely pull from the practice squad. They had 7 and the chances all 7 would have been active for gameday is nil, IMHO.

The Jets tried to rebuild the OLine the way the Chargers have and others teams - over the hill players past their prime. Tyron Smith might be a Hall of Fame player - but he isn't anymore.

I still root for the Chargers - the players - but when I see Dean spanos, I just want to play dodge ball and throw the ball right at his g-nads. Yes, call me a petty grade schooler

That said, I have to give Dean and John props for hiring Harbaugh and bringing in Hortiz - this is the best I have felt about the team since Marty. I have always tried to be optimisticd, hope for the best. But with these guys, I think it will happen.

Dean Spanos was very cheap when he was in San Diego. Now in LA, he throwing money around like there’s no tomorrow. That tells me he making a lot more money up there. So business wise it was a great move. Fan wise, it’s always beneficial to have an owner that is willing to spend. San Diego wise, we still got screwed and nobody cared.
