a veteran in free agency is a different challenge, but you have an open market to settle it out.

for the rookie class, they should find a way to avoid the contract drama. i think both sides would rather have it settled up front. it has worked fine for a number of years, but now the guaranteed money is becoming a moving target.

It's MUCH better than it was before salaries got 'slotted' . . . . . . . . . . . that was a cluster for sure. They'll get it sorted out in the new CBA. IMO there's always going to be something that someone gets their nickers in a twist over - it's human nature.

totally agree. this guaranteed money part should be an easy fix - they just need to formalize it in the CBA and make it more efficient.

agree..... but the issue is as soon as all 2nd rounders get guaranteed contracts, the 3rd rounders will start to want same thing.....then 4th... etc... till they are all garanteed.....

can they modify CBA in middle of 10 year CBA contract or do they have to wait for years to make the changes?

I saw NYT re-post one article from The Athletic, but I don't have subscription. Anyone see any actual reports from the rookies that did show up and work the last several days? Anyone read the Athletic, did it say anything or did it also just talk about how Harris isn't there?

agree, that is why they need to just standardize the guaranteed money by round in the CBA.

the next CBA is due in 2030, but they might redo it sooner to get the 18th game sooner. if both sides agree, it can be revised at anytime.

Kinda. My wife and I both hopped on at 10am and initially tried to secure tickets for next Saturday but were magically sold out.
we kept trying and nothing until I changed my aim for Monday. I guess Saturday is a popular ticket.
from what I remember last season, they were very loose with entry in that they would let people in if they claimed you have any kind of tech issue with their tickets.
I don't think they care much so long as there is space.

we should have a thread for those with extra tickets or wanting to exchange tickets. Just a thought.
