Who knows - maybe Joe just rolls with the young guys and see what they have in training camp before signing anybody“Less is more? NO NO NO - MORE is MORE!”

Allen brings the off field excitement and locker room morale boost.
On-field chemistry.
if the dollars make sense, Allen is the best veteran signing available.
assuming none of the UDFAs make a huge splash.

CanadianBolt mentions an interesting MW replacement, Gabe Davis. Great size, 6’2” 225. Career 16+ ypc. Only 26. Shouldn’t cost much.
Solid and healthy his first 4 years. Then goes to the Jags and is a bust. They cut him even though they are obligated to pay him for this season. The Bolts are hoping one of the 2 wideouts drafted step up to WR2. QJ or the other draftee is WR3-4. Davis slots into that area of WR4. He’s not coming here with an inflated ego that’s he’s WR1. Unlike Allen or Cooper. Hard pass on both.
Don’t know his background as to being a problem with the Bills or Jags. Maybe other posters are more familiar with him.
