My primary focus in this training camp is going to be on pass catchers. Rarely does a franchise go through a total transformation, a complete reset of its receiving corps

Keenan is the franchise's all time leading WR with 10,530 yds (2nd to TE AG's 11,841 yds).

Mike Williams is 10th on the list 4,806 yds, just edging out Vincent Jackson.

Austin Ekeler is 15th, with 3,884 yds.

That's three of the top 15 all time franchise reception yardage leaders gone in one off-season.

The franchise's all time leading pass catcher currently on the roster is Josh Palmer, with 1,703 yds. That's good for 37th on the franchise all time list.

Is the franchise's next great receiver already on the roster? McConkey, QJ, Palmer, Rice?

OK. How long after he is waived do we have to wait to see if the first four don't want him? I'd guess we can offer anyone that strikes our fancy but can't sign them 'till the other guys say go ahead, we don't want him.. So again, how long must we wait?
If we do want someone else's rejects? Isn't it further complicated by the requirement that he be signed to the active roster?

I don't see a lot of that happening. maybe one.
Veterans who've accrued four years in the league are considered vested players and are not subject to waivers, if cut they become instant free agents, free to sign with whichever team they choose.

Players who've been in the league under 4 seasons who are cut are subject to waivers, they are subject to being claimed off of waivers according to the draft order. If no team claims a waived player in 24 hours, they become free agents.

If a non-vested player is waived who the Chargers are interested in, they just have to hope the four teams above them in the order don't put in a waiver claim.

Players won't get waived until late Aug. It used to be the league had a three-step deadline to trim rosters from 90 to 53. Starting this year however there is only one deadline - Aug 29. Teams have to get down to 53 players by that date. That is when you will start seeing some interesting players being cut. I could see the Chargers picking up a 4th RB off waivers then.

I already posted this under the tickets area forum but figured more exposure couldn't hurt since it's such a late notice:

Thursday, July 25, 4 tickets. Gates open at 11:00 pm practice at 12:00 pm in El Segundo at The Bolt facility.
Friday, July 26, 1 ticket. Gates open at 2:00 pm for a 3:00 practice.

Let me know if anyone is looking to go, I will only need a valid email address to transfer them.. Just hit me up with a private message so we can set up the transfer.

Ask for 1, 2, 3, or 4 tickets. Friday is just a single ticket, the system was crashing when I ordered that one.

any bisexuals like to weigh in?

Williams missed 14 games last season and Palmer had more receiving yards than Ekeler last season.

Statistics are worthless out of context.

There's a book that's been out for quite a while: "How to Lie with Statistics." One of the worst techniques used is with a very small sample size. Or, oversampling in surveys with a high percentage of people known to vote a certain way:
