Agree. Except I can't help but think that-- if it were an ingrown toenail?-- that info would get leaked.

So "undisclosed" stuff always makes me a little nervous. Hoping that whatever it is, it's minor.

        Colson placed on NFI List.

This is training camp, he’s not taking up an active day roster spot. This must be pretty serious, as in it’s going into the regular season serious. Otherwise they’d just let him work off on the side.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
        Let’s win one for Mack.

Maybe Dissly can give Heinz ("57 Varieties of Routes") some pointers...

I think Harbaugh has a policy, the nature of an illness or injury will be "undisclosed".
It's clear that he doesn't like to discuss these issues about his players publicly. Good, bad or indifferent...
Those who work with him have to respect that.

Agreed. It was probably John Spanos who wanted all three guys after Turner. After Staley was fired late last season, he said he didn't fire Staley after the playoff meltdown because he felt the team was making progress under Staley. That statement blew me away because it was clueless.

You didn't see the progress Velo? I certainly did.

It went from a thoroughly deflating, season ending, soul crushing defeat stemming from inexplicably bad decisions in their final game of the regular season

                  Definite improvement.

I don't have "lacks athleticism" on my championship roster build plan. Compete and surprise us. I see no room for him on the roster at all but there are two months to go.

yeah, I don't see the going into reg season implication yet. more likely a normal illness - we'll have to monitor his situation, not gonna panic yet

The way I remember was the team hired Ron Wolf to help with the GM and HC search and he recommended McCoy. After McCoy was fired, Dean let TT and John Spanos hire the next coach - Lynn. After Lynn was fired, Dean inserted himself back into things and led the team's hiring of Staley. My memory could be fuzzy on this, but regardless - we wasted time with 3 straight coaches.

My belief is that Norv blamed AJ for the roster and McCoy came in and got to the playoffs despite what Norv said
