Just saw a post from Niner beat writer that they should trade for Quinton Nelson. If that’s true, Joe get in this.

It is what it is. We lost half of TPB community. I was ganged up on. Called a traitor. Deleted millions of posts. Granting member deletes and their posts. It was no fun for me.Originally posted by Charge! View Post
Well said! We cannot change the past. We can only learn from it and move on.
Not to sound like a little wimp...but the back and forth regarding the move to LA....the debate and emotions etc. It triggers the crap out of me.
Like i wanted to hunt guys down. I went to a dark place. Poeple thinking they were safe insulting and making threats to me etc. I have a skillset. A background. lol I can find anybody. I was calling dudes. I was letting them know i know who they are.
And that they could say that shit about me...my kids...to my face. They played nice after that. I carry alot of shame regarding my behavior. I just hate bullies. Online bullies as well. Like i have a major past with bullies. I loathe them. So when guys here get all emotional and attack each other? Or bully someone? It really gets under my skin.
So i acted like a monster. Just a really dark time for us here. CMB guys were not here to see it.
I especially dont need this at the moment with Iniki 2.0 headed my way. We could lose our homes.

Ideally, the hope would be that we don’t see him play much at all this year.Originally posted by Charge! View Post
BUT, there are some interesting things about Spomer:
- He was actually a LEFT TACKLE at Fresno State for 3 years & was quite good (according to Pff)
- After switching to center for his senior year, he proceeded to allow 0 sacks and just 8 total pressures ALL YEAR. Pretty impressive to play that well at a new position (81.5 pass pro grade). Indicates legit smarts & versatility.
- Very good athlete - 5.0 40, 28 bench reps, 28” vert
Unfortunately for him, the combination of: Mountain West Conf + 25 yr old + 290 lbs = UDFA
But fortunately for the Chargers, this kid absolutely looks like he can play. Expect drill sergeant Herbert to put some more meat on them bones. And even if it’s just a little, remember that Aaron Brewer made All Pro playing at just 290 lbs in McDaniel’s offense.
We’ll see what happens. But for now, kudos for beating the odds and making an NFL roster as an UDFA!

Thanks Bud...but its Lowell headed our way. He looks like he is passing south..and then take a direct shot north. Hoping he just misses us. This is what Iniki did.Originally posted by Berserker View Post

My prediction is that Patrick Herbert will be activated at some point onto the active roster this season. He will catch 1 pass for 9 yards, sending the whole NFL world in shock for a whole 24 hours. The next day, everyone mostly forgets about it and he will then go on to never catch another pass in the NFL. He will have such a cool story to tell Justin and Madison's kids. "Hey big bro, remember that time I caught a pass from you in an actual NFL game? Good times!" Book it, y'all 😜

That said, Spomer is my favorite member of this year's UDFA class. He is the absolute OPPOSITE of what the Chargers had last year in O-line depth.

In MLB, the pair of brothers with the most home runs, combined, is Hank and Tommie Aaron. Hank had 755. Tommie had 13.Originally posted by Pat_Swindle View PostMy prediction is that Patrick Herbert will be activated at some point onto the active roster this season. Likewise, it's possible that the Herberts could end up having the NFL's greatest-ever stat disparity among brothers.

I’m not too knowledgeable on cap dealings, so correct me if I’m wrong - isn’t it a requirement that every team must spend at least 90% of cap space? I don’t know what the figures have been since he got here, but it seems like Joe has preferred to fill the roster with a higher volume of “more affordable” contracts, as opposed to filling that space with just a handful of big money deals. In any case, it does beg the question - if the Bolts are currently sitting on over $40 million in cap space, what are they saving it for?Originally posted by Bolt4Knob View Post
They aren't spending big anymore. Only the dolphins will have spent less than the Chargers this year and the Dolphins have like $150m of dead cap space.. I think this proves my theory about being "TRUE" players in free agency and why Tuli hasn't been extended - Dean doesn't have the cash to operate in the NFL.
So this argument that Hortiz is not the type to go out on a big money player - well maybe he doesnt because he can't. Eric DeCosta had no issues signing Trey Hendrickson or trading for Maxx Crosby.
Deano might be spending more on the coaches, and the Bolt and what not but I think when STaley signed JC Jackson, Austin Jackson,. Joseph Day and maybe Feiler, much more money than Dean has spent the last few years.

Tuli maybe, room to move for sure. I have no complaints about Hortiz' roster management. We're in a good place and have some cap in our pocket.Originally posted by Duck of Death View Post

I'm a happy Chargers camper.
