Cosell gave props to Tarheeb as well. I like these guys. Ross when he talks he reminds me of Bill Murrays charactor in Caddyshack

Cosell is really high on Tarheeb Still...both Cosell and Tucker seem to imply Slaughter will be the LG, but no mention of battling it out in PC with Wily Kayode...

RE Still, I remember in the week 3 Bronco game, JK Dobbins stiff-armed Henley to the turf and scored. On another play Dobbins tried to stiff-arm Still and Tarheeb put him on the ground.

Thought I'd post this very balanced non homer view of the Chargers this season. As a homer I'm much more optimistic given the additions we've made in the off season.

That's a pretty good preview. I liked how he called McDaniel a running game savant. I'm really excited to see how much the running game is going to improve under McDaniel. I'm expecting a huge year out of Hampton, but I also think Vidal and Mitchell are going to be outstanding complements.

Henley has about 30 lbs. more than Still, but apparently Still plays with better leverage, angles and tackling ability (at least on some plays)...nice to have a feisty corner who is a willing and able tackler...

WR Keenan, Ladd, QJ, Tre Harris, KLS, Brenen Thompson * not expecting much from the latter, Keenan signed Aug 5 last go 'round, McConk is better as a No. 2

LG Jake Slaughter, Kayode Awosika * wondering if Slaughter is ever gonna slide over into the pivot, or if he's gonna just stick @guard for good

ED Khalil, Tuli, Akheem Mesidor, Nadame Tucker, Kyle Kennard
ILB Denzel * had him/Junior Colson penciled in last time here, albeit not sure they don't just go w/the four LBs

Not bad. We're all guessing at this point and LAC looked like shit in the playoffs repeatedly. IMO we addressed key problems specifically, added depth and some very good players. I think the video addresses players as individuals more than as a team and makes a point about OL "anchor" rather than wide zone blocking. IMO the '26 season and Post Season will be about team effort. HC, GM, OC, DC, STC, staff, starters and depth.

Matt 'money' Smith with Phill Simms on Bleav:

On the Charger offense, and bringing in Mike McDaniel: “it’s just got to work, when i look at it” - Phil Simms

“I think it (the offensive line) could be really, really good …. They got the greatest pass protector i think they could get and that is the OC” - Phill Simms

“I think the Chargers offense is going to be something to be very scared of …” - Phils Simms

On the chiefs upcoming season: “i think its going to be a rough year ….’they have been throwing band aids on it for many, many years now and I would be surprised …(if they are a factor)” - Phil Simms

There is no way a 2.2 YAC Keenan Allen is coming back. MM's offense is YAC oriented offense. The league average YAC is over 5. I love Keenan as much as anyone but that ship has sailed.
