Interesting common thread amongst many of the 'experts', i.e., that the offensive skill positions, aside from Herbie, are pretty much devoid of talent. These are the same experts that, in the Staley years, had the Chargers ranked as high as Top 10; now, we're bottom third.

Did the loss of Keenan Allen, Mike Williams and Austin Ekeler make *THAT* big a difference to the team's offensive success? KA's loss will be felt, for sure. But MW was often injured, and Ekeler's stats were in decline. Maybe I've swallowed one too many glasses of Kool-Aid, but I see an improved OL; an improved running game; and on overall (blocking and pass catching) improvement in the TE position.

Oh, and improved coaching across the board. I'm sort of in the category of those who have us ranked around 12-15. I don't think we're a Top 10 team, but I also don't think we belong with the bottom feeders, either.

Game One will give us fans, and the media, what this team is all about. Coaching will be better, but as far as the roster, its so hard to know. If the OL dominates, this game could be a rout. The key... Alt.

The only question mark on his list are the Broncos. I mean there might be 3-4 teams on that bubble including the Texans and Dolphins. For all we know the Chargers could be the #1 wild card seed if not win the division outright. KC will have heartburn after playing us. LOL!

Fair rankings...we have to prove it...but Im optimistic we will do that as the season progresses...

Interesting factoid...not exactly rankings, but...GMFB predicted playoff teams...3 out of 4 had us nabbing a wildcard.
