Film Study: The Good, The Bad and The Great (week 8 vs Saints)

Welcome back Diehards. This week we saw a noticable shift in attitude for our Chargers. Bradley Bozeman has sparked the team and I reckon its changed the season.

    Enjoy:

Perryman has made a difference in run defense. He's a heat seeking missile for the ball carrier

a BIG reason why the run D is much better is because we have a DC who believes in having LBers in his D, not a buncha DBs.

That was my day one beef with Staley's philosophy.

GRo has taken a lot of criticism - and definitely some of it is warranted, but maybe not all. It seems the requisite hots & checkdowns are there & open. But Herb is often choosing to ignore, hunting for a bigger splash. Sometimes he can make something of it & sometimes he gets lit up. Fair enough. One other thing, he doesn’t seem to have the same level of confidence in JK as he did with Ekeler in the passing game, which I guess is valid. Despite it all, he is playing well overall & seems to be gradually gaining more confidence in this offense. I guess all that time he missed due to the plantar fascia probably did slow his acclimation to the new offense.

Cheers Mate, thanks & great work as always. I raise my imaginary pint of Tooheys for you!

              BTW you’re pronouncing ‘Chargers’ wrong

Nice to see our LBs as the leading tacklers on the team.

Something unrelated but actually related came to my mind. What if you leverage A.I. into the green dot defender's helmet visor. Provide color coded data as to potential ball carrier/catcher targets. Then its up to the human to do the actual launching.

Hey Chillie, another request if I may - can you look at both those “busted coverage” TDs to QJ and Palmer? At least on QJ’s TD, it kinda seemed like Herb kept the safety on Ladd, before unleashing the fade to QJ. Either way, I don’t think Thornhill had a chance to make it over in time as was leveraged all the way to the hashmark.
