I honestly truly believe this league is rigged. Yeah laugh at me... we can't be this bad all of a sudden. Specially against the Bucs.
Game is rigged in more ways than one. Fixed in more ways than one. If people think it's only the referees who partake in this thing, they only have parts of the picture. Players do stuff too, along with coaches. Players throw games away. This is something people should wake up to. If they want to understand it better.

It was a competitive game in the first half. But then in the second half everything just fell apart. The Bucs offense was doing things with more ease on the Chargers defense in the second half than in the first half. The more the game went on it seemed like some players weren't trying. Those who were, they ran out of spark.

Chargers lost, and Broncos won. These went down to make the Thursday night game between the teams interesting. Whether we beat Denver this upcoming game or not, I'll say it's staged either way.

Perryman left for another team already before Staley coached a game for the Chargers. He often got hurt and missed games back then just like he is now.

We 100% have to go fully in this draft which is the most stacked RB draft ina while, and by that I mean using a pick well before the 6th round where we took Vidal.

Could easily be 6-8 so I think the law of averages is swinging back, and hard.
Speaking of which, here is some hard reality, taken from Poppers post game article....clearly we benefitted from an easy schedule

The Chargers have faced five of the 12 best offenses in football: the Cincinnati Bengals, the Ravens, the Atlanta Falcons, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Bucs. Through the first 10 weeks of the season, the Chargers ranked fourth in defensive success rate, according to TruMedia. Since Week 11, when they played the Bengals, the Chargers are 27th in success rate. Through the first 10 weeks of the season, the Chargers ranked second in defensive EPA per play, according to TruMedia. Since Week 11, they rank 21st.

The offense, meanwhile, has gone from mediocre to bad. They ranked 17th in EPA per play through the first 10 weeks of the season, according to TruMedia. They rank 25th since Week 11.

As the defense has faltered against better opponents, the offense has regressed, as well.

          1st - Zion Johnson
          2nd - No pick
          3rd - JT Woods
          4th - Isaiah Spiller
          5th - Otito Ogbonnia
          6th - Jamaree Salyer
          7th - Deane Leonard

This is why there is no depth on this team. I think the best pick was Tito. He was playing great up until he got hurt.
Add JaSir Taylor in the 6th. So the bottom of the draft was good for depth. Zion? SMH. All potential, average at best play.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
          Let’s win one for Mack.

As for Roman, he has 4 good players to work with and the rest are just guys. We need a major talent infusion there in the next two years to get to where we need to be.

We need a C, OG, RB, TE and WR next year to even begin to judge Roman’s old school schemes.

With the short retention spans in today’s NFL, I’m thinking a top staff needs to be able to assess a good portion of the roster based on existing data and information before they bring them in, not wait a year of watching them succeed or fail. Idunno - so we bring in 30 new guys next year, we would sure like to get ahead of the sticks and know if they can play or not, no? Won’t know every one perfectly, but can’t go the other way and assume we dont know about any of them.

I get it’s an imperfect process, more unknowns than easily can be managed. Nobody bats 1.000. Of course they will know the players they already have had for a year in more detail. Just hoping … I guess? This year was a cap hell year and they could do very little, I get that., More about forward looking than the 2024 roster in particular.

So a 3 year rebuild essentially.

And believe it or not... he had a decent game last week. Going against Vita Vea is a tough job.
I think the whole OL will do better vs Denver on Thursday... the DL is actually their weakness. We did well against them last time.

They signed Bozeman because he had actually done well for Roman one year in Baltimore. They were thinking that the blocking scheme in Carolina (heavy zone) didn't fit his skills (power). They were strapped for cash and found a cheap FA that knew Roman's blocking scheme. It was a gamble. It hasn't paid off. I'm sure they move on and find a fix in the off-season (FA or draft).
The last time I saw Jaimes play, he was horrible. I don’t know Salyer answers any questions we have or not, but I doubt Jaimes does.

IOL has not worked out. They bet on a Rd1 draft pick and what was a serviceable if not very good RT, with Boze gluing it together. None of the three have achieved above average starter performance. I expect wholesale changes next year too

I think there is zero possibility that all players and coaches on all teams are all in on a league-wide pre-planned scripted rig system, aka wrestling. Zero, none - too many eyes and mouths to keep quiet year after year after year. Could never ever be kept secret. Never.

The good news is sometimes a good stiff bitch slap wakes you up. We are still 2 games ahead in the final WC race with 3 to play. Just get a WC and the season is a success and we plan for 2025.

ironic it was on the anniversary of the Staley / TT fire.

I have no faith in Roman. The offense is leaving the D hanging. The defense played 19 more plays and 14 extra minutes. Harbaugh not going for it on 4th & 6th in plus territory for the 2nd straight week and twice last week tells me he does not have faith in Roman calling a good play. And guess what, he’s right because the two 4th down plays they did go for it on, Roman is calling plays that are short of the sticks for possible YAC opportunity. I don’t want to hear they don’t have weapons because the Broncos are playing good offensively with a rookie QB and Sutton. No RB1, no TE1 and some other WRs. Sutton, Mims, Vele, that’s it.

But Harbaugh and Hortiz let go of a TE, 2 WRs and a RB that are better than anything we have on this roster. They then signed a bad C and didn’t bring in any depth at G and moved a bad T to G. They chose to spend their money on bad players the majority of which aren’t contributing.

Everyone knew our IOL was bad they didn’t address it outside of bringing in a bad C because he has pictures of Greg Roman. I wouldn’t be so upset if they had gutted the Wrs but brought in more depth at IOL to compete and we had a solid line to protect Herbert but they failed to even do that. It’s inexcusable to let our franchise 50 mil a year qb get beaten like this. They failed to install a dominating run game and they failed to protect Herbert.

Next year they have no excuses if this doesn’t improve then the Harbaugh experiment will be a failure.
