Klein is right there with AJ Barner, the TE some of us wanted in the fifth round a few years back and another player the Seahawks beat us to the punch on in the draft taking him in the 4th, higher than projected. Harbaugh recruited him also and had him two years.

Not inside. He’s so fluid in his movement with balance that he can more than deal with it imo. Slater’s arms were too short when he was drafted, Fano in some ways reminds me of how well and always-balanced Slater can move. Of course, I’m an idiot so there’s that …Originally posted by electricgold View Post
Does Fano's 32 inch arm length concern you?
I agree with jolt that I have little expectation he’s not drafted long before we are on the clockJustin Herbert 2026 MVP Watch

The grades on draft picks 15 through 50 will be very close. With the offensive linemen, beauty will be in the eye of the beholder. Scheme fit will lead to value.
There will be a starting caliber guard on the board at #22. At #55 there will probably be one too. Don't you think Hortiz knows this ?HowellER KlareTE FarmerOG M'baDT TollisonC 4.3.26

I am sure Joe knows this, but isn't a shame if Mr BPA sleeps through free agency and pigeonholes himself into having to take a guard with a premium pick?Originally posted by wu-dai clan View PostThe grades on draft picks 15 through 50 will be very close. What if Sadiq, Caleb Banks, Jordan Tyson are sitting at 22? Does Joe reach for Pregnon and draft him 20 spots early?
That goes against every draft principle Hortiz has ever preached.

Well he hasn't done that yet. Doubt he starts now if he makes the pick at 22. Might be the year he trades down.Originally posted by CanadianBoltFan View Post

After seeing the shite Eric DeCosta just pulled, I want to remind the world that Joe Hortiz did an apprenticeship in Baltimore.
It is comical to hear EDC talk about the integrity of the Ravens culture, as though his nose was not right in the middle of the Jaire Alexander scam trade.
The Raiduhs. ..couldn't happen to a more worthy organization.
With Chef Joe, anything is possible, including pivoting from BPA to PON.Last edited by wu-dai clan; 03-11-2026, 07:11 PM.HowellER KlareTE FarmerOG M'baDT TollisonC 4.3.26

Hopefully not, I also doubt Joe would do that. I just do not prefer to go into a draft under pressure to draft a position of glaring need when you had $100 million to avoid it. It is not ideal.Originally posted by Boltjolt View Post

If they didn't pay the money for an OG in free agency when they had the chance and resources, I don't know why anyone would think they are going to select an OG in the 1st rnd. They just showed everyone how much they value and prioritize the OG position.1) Cut Becton, Boz(ret), Dissly, DD, Fisk, and Dupree
2) Re-sign Tart, Hand (4m), Phillips (5m)
3) Sign the ERFA's Williams, Patterson, and Vidal (3m).
4) Sign free agents Cole Strange (OG-1.5 m), Whyatt Teller (OG-10m), Luke Fortner (OC-6.5m), Brunskill (OC-vet min) Leo Chenal (LB-5m), Rashid Shaheed (WR- 14m), Cade Otten (TE-8m) Greg Dulcich (TE-3m), K'Lavon Chaisson (ED 9m), Myers (DT-7.8m), Alec Ingold (FB-6m), Hendrickson (ED-25m), Seumalo (OG-9m), AVT (OG). Jenkins (OG- 12m)

I could be wrong, but I don't think that's the case. I don't think they'll pass on a guard if he is the best player available in Round 1, 2, or 3. I just think there's a massive overreaction over Hortiz passing on guards in free agency who just really aren't that good. The Bills chose not to re-sign David Edwards. He signed with a shitty team. The Packers cut Elgton Jenkins. He signed with a shitty team. We supposedly offered the same amount to Zion as what the Browns ended up signing him for, but is it really this major catastrophe that he won't be our left guard from now on? With all of the shitty offensive line play out there, isn't it telling that none of these players were signed by playoff teams?Originally posted by Chargers8491 View PostIf they didn't pay the money for an OG in free agency when they had the chance and resources, I don't know why anyone would think they are going to select an OG in the 1st rnd. My guess is we'll take Lomu (to convert to guard), Ioane (if he's available), or a pass rusher in the first round. If we don't get an offensive lineman in the first round, I imagine we'll get one in the second or third.
