Concur. I also find the 10 am game excuse a little thin. Yes I am sure there is a component in the results but it's the coaches jobs to get the team ready. None of us should accept the team not being ready to go in a full 1/4 of their games just because they are in the eastern timezone.

Maybe start practicing at 10am after the Eagles game at 10am those two weeks.

Ok, I can except that there can be a fall off after a tough physical game. But not a complete and utter disaster of a collapse against an average team. Unexceptable!!!

Jags are a top run defense. We run to protect Herbert and open passing opportunities. We could not run vs Jax.
It was a bad match for us. No run game, no pass blocking and no defense. That's hard to overcome. We did not.

It was a bad match for us. No run game, no pass blocking and no defense. That's hard to overcome. We did not.

Not missing any points. This team was completely unprepared! It does blow my mind that Minter could not figure it out after last year. Especially when they are down their top 2 WRs, top 2 TEs and RT. They came in completely overlooking this team no matter what they say at the podium.

Then Roman, his offense and not utilizing his TEs to protect Herbert is fuckin mind boggling. We didn’t run because Roman’s run concepts are old and shitty for the most part. You go into this game k owing that the Jags struggle against the pass and you have Fisk and Matlock in on a total of 5 pass plays and leave your beat up Oline on an island, especially Penning after being there for 10 days.

Yes the team played poorly, but the coaching staff was worse than the players on Sunday. From Harbaugh to Minter to Devlin to Roman. Minter has a little bit of a cushion compared to Roman and Devlin.

I'm too inattentive to remember last year's game but in this game Liam kept running 6 OL jumbo straight at him while Minter stayed in his 4-DL nickel personnel group and they trucked his little guys all game long, By halftime they were already weary and beat and taking sloppy angles and missing tackles. 192 yards rushing vs only 153 passing. Just ran right over the top of him.

Gro's plan was complete shit and I'd argue worse because if he did anything worthwhile, Minter's poor defense wouldn't have been on the field so much and would not have taken as thorough a beating on their own. He threw a new LT out there known to be inadequate to start and gave him zero help. His blocking TE and FB completely disappeared from the field, no chipping or help all game, and Herbert was swarmed practically upon snap. His run plays were to dive right back into the middle of the OL that was already beat on the snap.

and folks that post on X that Herbert had "3.1 (or 3.2?) seconds to throw" with their smarmy ass dick posts can just fuck the fuck right off. All that really meant was he ran for his life an extra half second before they beat him to the ground. Anyone that "watched that game" and didn't see him swarmed the entire game is an asshat that didn't really watch the game

I didn't watch the game. It didn't come in on anything I had. I did get the radio broadcast from both. Jax was hard to listen to.
My being an asshat is open to debate.
I have no explanation for offensive choices. I'm curious if Roman did that without discussing it with the HC? Herbert getting hit a lot totally sucks by any LAC fan's definition.

Yep I said before the game the jags run D had me a bit nervous. If Roman's O is getting stuffed at the line it's no Bueno! The way to beat the Chargers is to stuff the run and send stunts after Herbert.

There may be something to constantly hitting the QB in a game causing him to get rattled! I counted maybe one clean pocket and Herbert missed Ladd for an INT. He seemed pretty beat up at the point.
