There's some up and down every year depending on other circumstances. So to declare it a trend it has to be several years.
    2024- 0.38, 2023 1.00 a very good year.
Getting older is a fact but I like having him in 2026. He's still better than most in numbers and definitely as a teammate.
    Let's get him a Ring.
He is another year older but still productive. I'm sure his sacks per game last year was affecte by the elbow, but injuries happen to older players. It will be interesting to see how high we draft an edge rusher.

The biggest thing we can do to help our pass rushers this season will be for the offense to get a lead, and then run time off the clock by running the ball while moving the ball and taking the occasional shot at the end zone. That forces other teams to throw the ball downfield, which takes time, and gives the rushers a chance to get after the QB.

First five years of his career, he was a double digit sack player but since than, 2023 was the outlier. That doesn't mean he doesn't bring value in setting the Edge and like this last year, his "dirt worker play" allowed Oweh to be the speed edge rusher. I think he still has value but Hortiz needs to bring Edge - and I think a player like Mack in terms of body type

the elbow was kind of a freak thing how it got pinned and I'm not sure a younger elbow would have helped. But yeah - older usually is more injury and longer healing on average.

              Ages this season:

              Mack - 35
              Jefferson - 34
              Perryman - 34
              Derwin - 30

Mack and Derwin, I'm fine with it due to their leadership, but this needs to be Mack's last year.
Don't forget Dalvin Tomlinson. Who is 32. Yeah, the defense has old players. One or two of those positions are going to have their successors waiting behind the aging guys.
