    that's possible, i can understand the correlation. all i've heard though was it was a bunch of people going bronze age on some goof that killed their relative/friend. having the drug cartel influence in their day to day lives may have definitely manifested in the way this all played out. i could see that for sure.

      Yea i saw the pictures. It was ugly. And it looked like those who retaliated had done it before.

        I'd say murdered is a bit strong, if the article is to be believed.

        Sounds like the ref acted in self defense IMHO...if I'm wrong, please feel free to show me additional info so I can have a more accurate opinion.

                  Well unless he pulled it, warned him he'd use it to defend himself while trying to separate himself from this other guy and the other guy kept coming, or was getting beaten up with a series of blows and wasn't able to do anything but stab the guy to end it, it was murder.
