OT: My new ride (Charger related in more than one way)

After years of waiting patiently, several things came together to allow me to purchase my dream car, a 2018 Dodge Charger SXT Plus in B5 Blue. (aka Powder Blue)

Before you ask, no, it doesn't have a Hemi. I wanted to actually get decent gas mileage and also not give all of my money to the insurance people.

Lots of bells and whistles on the inside and absolutely breathtaking on the outside. It is one sweet ride! Love it!!

Does it have the hemi? Just kidding

My lease is up in August on a 300s awd. I am looking at the Charger GT AWD. I live in an area that gets a ton of snow in the winter. The Chrysler/dodge AWD system is outstanding.

    Enjoy it! Looks great.

Nice ride! When you put the Bolts on it, make sure that they're upside down!

Honestly, I'd be scared of getting car-jacked if I owned that car. Be glad you aint me.

                Really nice looking car.
One day i will get a Challenger but a used one and dont think they have THAT color of blue but they have a blue i like. BTW my Truck has a Hemi and insurance isnt through the roof. Not sure why it would make a difference in a car as opposed to a truck.

The Challenger does come in the same color (B5 Blue) as my Charger.

What makes the difference in the insurance for us is the fact that we have our 18-year-old son on our policy. As it stands now, we're already paying more than three times as much to insure him to drive as we do for my wife and I put together. Plus, we have to add our soon-to-be 15-yeard-old daughter to our policy next April, so I'm expecting another big jump in our premiums then as well.

Also, with our son heading off to college in the fall, I wouldn't have been able to get the payments where I needed them to be with an R/T. I'm still very happy with my ride.

I wanted to go with a brand new car, though, because I don't put very many miles on my car (3,000 to 5,000 per year) and I plan on keeping this one for a very long time. So, 10 years from now, I may only have 50,000 miles or so on it and it should still be in great shape. Plus, there's just something about saying that I'm the only one that has owned this car. After owning quite a few cars over the last thirty years, this is only the second brand new car I've ever owned. So it's about time I treated myself.

BTW, thanks everyone for the congrats.

Yeah I get it. Went thru the insurance with my kids. Horrible how high it is.
as for the Challenger, that blue color I think is only on the SRT or the higher end Hemi...which is more expensive and why I'd want to look for a used one. Haven't ruled out a six cylinder, just have to drive both but love the Hemi in my truck.
