is Cardale Jones, who is, from the neck down, the greatest QB prospect ever. Keep giving him reps in preseason.
Chargers QB of the future

He certainly does have all the physical tools. Cannon arm, great size/weight, can run better than any QB the Chargers have had since maybe Flutie. So, as stated already, just comes down to reading defenses, knowing the playbook, etc. When he was the starter as OSU after he led them to a national championship, he could not read a defense, kept waiting for receivers to break open as opposed to anticipating them as Rivers does, could not place the ball or sustain drives. Also wildly inconsistent. One throw is an absolute mind bender in how accurate and pretty it is and the next one you wonder what he is doing. Cost him the starting job after a while. He does have good leadership skills and he is supposedly good in the locker room and he is a winner.
TGLike, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

I don't think his love for Geno will play into who backs up Rivers, Lynn obviously had some love for Jones as we traded for him, but if Jones proved good enough last year we would be comfortable with Jones as backup going into this year.
