I believe he had a meniscus injury that cost him most of his sophomore year.

Im definitely admitting im grasping at straws by throwing out James' wonderlich. lol Im just shocked he dropped. Yes i know it happens. But hes a chess-piece player. He's a Sean Taylor type impact player. He was cant miss. Hes not a single high guy. Or an in the box safety. He is around 4 players in one. Has all the tools.

I love how they line him up. Put him out wide and if nobody is there to block him, he blitzes. Bring him into the box and if nobody is there to block him, he blitzes. That's a weapon.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

I never considered Derwin a viable option for us. No way he falls that far.

I was very surprised and the Mo Hurst plummeting to Rd5, even with medicals, was crazy to me. I had him #7 on my board.

Based on our CB group i would prefer James over Fitz. I think Fitz can be a shutdown CB and stud FS. But we needed the player who can play closer to the LOS. We need a few of those types to help in the run but more importantly stop the chunk play's and chunk TDs. Derwin was the perfect fit. He is Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor in one player. With some Ramsey in there as well. He can run with WRs.

Many of us were big on Hurst. I thought the Raiders scored. I was bummed. Just wish we would take a flier late on guys like him and Lael Collins. Eventough Collins was a criminal related issue. He turned out to be a decent steal for the Boys.

And he isn't doing that great. Not starting in Oakland. These college players are a crap shoot.
