    Virgil Green

Loved what this guy did on Sunday.

only 3 catches for 55 yrds on the stat sheet, but i added a couple plays where his effort will not show up in stats:

1st play - great stiff arm. nothing more needs to be said

2nd play - Runs hard after the catch. Punish DB's that have to tackle him.

3rd play - IF the first two didnt get you hyped, then this should. Green absolutely abuses this LB down the field allowing Ekeler easy run for 1st down.

4th play - Another high effort play that wont show on stat sheet. Compare this effort with Benjamin the previous week

5th play- Was no prepared for the hit, but strong enough to shrug it off and get the 1st down. Little bit of ball security issue that should be and easy fix.

All up I wanna see more of this guy. Imagine when Henry returns running 2x TE sets and monster play actions.

He's been a pleasant surprise so far.

But I remember the rap on him in Denver being he had terrible hands. But always seemed to make big plays against the Chargers.
        (that's how I remember it!)

Nice to have him making plays FOR the Chargers.

I have really enjoyed him being on the team so far. You're right, when Henry is back, Green + Henry + Gates is ridiculous.

Henry is also a very good blocker, in fact probably the best complete TE in the NFL right now. So many are just big WR or just small OL. He can do it all. Green was brought in for his blocking prowess but Telesco also knew he can do a little in the passing game, too. Certainly more than any other blocking TE the Bolts have had for a long time. And the Chargers went after Green the last time he was a FA too. I remember McCoy wanted him.
