Agreed. Sit MG and give JJ 10 - 15 carries and AE 8 - 10. Combined with swing passes add in another 10 - 12 touches total and Cincy will be toast.

the 1st have running game would have been a whole lot more effective if they "started" Jackson instead of Ek- who was getting stuffed. Fortunately Lynn and Wiz made the correction at 1/2 time and we saw the difference in the 2nd half with Ek back in his familiar complementary role with Jackson providing the big runs.

maybe, but- I've posted this point before- when a guy has special all-purpose talents like Ek or a Srpoles or Woodhead that you count on every game- moving him into a "starter" role to replace an LT or Gordon means giving up a big part of your offense needlessly. When you have an experienced Feature RB as a backup it makes more sense to plug him in and leave your multi talented guy in his regular role. IMO that was what we saw in the difference of 2 halves last night. There might have been adjustments to the blocking schemes or something too that I'm not smart enough to pick up, but when the running game gets going it seems to feed on itself and the OL kicks it up a notch. Seems like Jackson was the spark for that...

J Jacks was a quality blocker in passpro during his career at NW. He is a rook so always a learning curve. More snaps he gets the better he will perform imo.

Pouncey was asked about adjustments in the blocking at half time and he said they didn't change much, just executed better. Said the calls were good, just the line messed up. The way the Steelers crowd the line, stunt and switch it probably takes some time to relax and figure it out. Steelers do the same on the OL..Lot of pass offs and tandems that they mix up to keep the opponent off balance. It is very impressive.

Jackson earned the right to be the "main" back until Gordon is back. Keep Ekeler in his normal role, he's brilliant in that role.

Really liked what I saw from Jackson. He had some "pop".

There were a couple of runs when he was getting hit that he didn't secure the ball with two hands. Hopefully the coaches drill that into his head more so he doesn't cough one up.

Jackson showed good vision and acceleration, and there was a play he should of been stopped at the line but he side step, shuffled ala Levon Bell style and got positive yardage. I was impressed!
