Not saying Id love doing it, but Id trade Rochell for a competent OT.

Bold NFL training camp predictions for all 32 teams - ESPN
The Eagles will trade for a defensive end. One of the few questions about this roster is whether there is enough defensive end depth after Chris Long and Michael Bennettdeparted this season. Will GM Howie Roseman just cross his fingers at one of the most critical positions in football, or make a move before the start of the season? Knowing his aggressive mentality, the latter seems more likely.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
    The Wasted Decade is done.

If Lamp is better at guard, keep him there rather than move him to OT.

I said this a week ago. Lamp has a far superior pedigree at left tackle than Tevi or Scott. He was one of the best left tackles in college football at W. Kentucky. If not for the fact he has not seen the field in 2 years he would be the clear choice to step in for Okung. If he's looking really good in training camp, which is what I have been reading, I think it makes sense to give him some reps there. He could be the franchise left tackle of the future. He was that dominant in college.

Interesting that Lamp seems be being crowned our best OL, sight unseen as it were. Hopefully that assessment holds true when gametime comes around.

It was being reported he was our best lineman back before he got hurt after the mini-camps in his rookie year. Not surprising to hear it again - I think by the end of they year people are going to wonder how they ever questioned him.

I questioned him ever getting healthy. Blame me.

Lamp was perhaps the best OL coming out of college in 2017. Again, he was dominant at Western Kentucky as a left tackle. Unfortunately, his NFL career started badly when he suffered a particularly bad ACL tear in Camp almost exactly two years ago. He had to have clean up surgery in May of last year. It's easy to dismiss him given he didn't crack starting lineup last season. But if you go back and read scouting reports on him when he entered the draft, you get an idea of just how special of a talent he is. He lacks ideal arm length for an NFL left tackle. That is why he has always been projected as a guard in the NFL. But Chargers fans I've seen this movie before. Melvin Ingram also Lacks ideal arm length for his position. And we know how that has turned out. In my humble opinion, I have to think he is a better Prospect to play left tackle in place of Okung than Tevi or Scott. Left tackle is the most important position on the offensive line, and perhaps the second most important position on the offense. I think it just makes sense to put the superior player at that position.

Time will tell on where he or anyone else will need to line up, or positions they need to avoid.

At this point in TC, the emphasis is still on individual skill development. Fundamentals and techniques. I think we can leave Lamp at OG until it is time to move him. We haven't seen him play in a real game yet, and in the drill work coming out from the Rams and Chargers (at least the video) Scott and Tevi don't look completely lost. At this point in the season, the OL is behind the DL, so they are going to get beat some. IT is how they adjust to it here in the next 2 or 3 weeks, plus how well they work as a unit that will finally tell how good our OL is going to be. Plenty of SB champions have overachieving OL whose performance exceeds the sum of the parts.

Sounds like Whiz sees him as a guard.
