Gordon's 5th year option is worth $5.6 million. Bosa's is worth $14.36 million. He could hold out, but the dollars aren't faintly close.

A DE also gets paid substantially more contract wise than an RB and is a more valuable position. 14.36 million will be nothing compared to what Bosa could earn on the open market if he decides to hold out. In that case, TT will probably not play hardball like he is with Gordon.

Nothing like beating a dead horse over something at least a year or 2 away. I'll worry about Bosa's status and contract after this season. Until then i will choose to focus on this season's issues. Alot can happen between now and then. I will say that Tillery may be an option if amd when a Bosa hold out happens. I think he will get a fair amount of snaps at DE as well this year. I really like the depth on our DL heading into the season. A lot of options and guys can monitor snap counts, stay fresh, and maximize effectiveness. Just my .02

I haven't looked myself but read that Bosa's 5th year option was going to be 9 million

It sounds like he is now holding firm in his position. So the problem is how to not have him cost a roster spot until he does report.

Gordon asking to be paid the 4th highest money for RB's. He's not the 4th best RB. Gordon is holding out to set a new pay scale tier for RB's. That's not asking for respect. Owners won't let salaries go thru the roof. Besides, they'll just raise ticket prices if that's the case. So what is Gordon doing that isn't in the best interests of only Gordon? It sure isn't the fans or the team. The Chargers are maybe $1.8 million under what Gordon wants, for Gordon's sake. Why is it that only minorities keep using the word "disrespected." Gordon wants the kind of "respect" from owners that completely disregards and shafts the fans that make up a substantial portion of the revenue that pays him (TV money aside). Setting precedences for more of the owners share of the profits will only make owners charge fans more. But at least Gordon will get his "respected." Screw everyone else.

On behalf of Gordon and his concerns about financial security, health and all, I would partially agree and say on his behalf..."We who about to die salute you.". Gordon:" How wealthy do you want to be in order to survive and deal with the rigors and possible short ending of your NFL career"? More money = respect? How much more money? The Chargers are probably a mere $1.8 million short of "respecting" you, Not enuff "respect"? Haha..gimme a break.

I think TT will make a fair offer to Bosa, just like he apparently did to MG3...Boss may decide it's not enough...I hope he stays with us, but if he wants crazy $$$, let him go, or franchise him and get the picks...
