    Positive Mojo

Last wednesday i lost my job as a manager due to corp restructuring. The worst part is lossing health insurance since my wife has been sick fir the last year with an undiiagnotced autoammunin illness. Just could use the positive vibes right now. Thank you in advance to this awesome group

Sorry to hear this my friend.
The stress level must be high.
Keep your eyes open, as this was a restructure,
and your resume will look good.

FWIW, yesterday, I thought for sure I was going to be fired. A middle level manager, a man with issues of his own, made me the target of his wrath. I could sense he was going to try to get me fired, and yes he did. I was saved by my stellar track record and long standing quality, valuable work.

In your case, may opportunity come your way soon. We have a robust economy.

Yeah, mojo to you. I've been through lay offs and it's extremely stressful.

Keep looking you will find something even better for you. Things happen for a reason and we may not understand why immediately but it will come into focus later. Stay strong bolt brother.

You should automatically be offered COBRA continuation of your health insurance for up to 6 months as part of your Severance package. It will be MUCH more expensive than what you used to pay because of no more company subsidy- but not as expensive as buying under ObamaCare (I've been stuck doing this since leaving workforce in 2014). That at least gives you time to find out more about what is going on with your wife. Also talk to an Insurance Broker during this time to understand your options once COBRA ends so you at least have a plan based on what your economic situation might look like later. Good Luck.

As was always said to me when i was younger, things happen for a reason. Perhaps your next job will be better and you will be happier. Sorry to hear about your Wife. Hope things work out for the better for you both.
