    SEA 19
    LAC 29

LAC would be middle of the pack
if they could run like SEA.

    Hmmm.
    Thinking of OP.

LAC had the 5th best passer rating, 7th best comp %, 8th most passing TDs per NFL.com. Makes one wonder how magnificent Rivers, his skill group & the play calling must be with PFF's 29th ranked OL @ pass-blocking efficiency.

PFF & NFL differ on QB sack & hit counts considerably.
PFF 9th must sacks, NFL 22nd most in 2018 reg season..
PFF 6th most hits, NFL 19th most.

My confidence in PFF stats, which was not rock solid has dropped.
It's the entire unit + playcalling that makes the offense work. We were not that bad.

Pass blocking efficiency rankings are arbitrary.

PFF filters must always be in place.

SEA vs LAC, which I mentioned,
        involves, for starters,
        Philip Rivers and Russell Wilson
        LOL.

If our oline plays better we win the SB this year.

I think our D.is going to very good. Love our investment up the middle. We.need to draft Edge and CB next year. I would like to see more press man on the outside against pocket passers.

Interesting how different analytic websites have their own rankings. This is what footballoutsider had with regards to their measure. Adjusted Sack Rate (ASR)/Sack Rate: Sack Rate represents sacks divided by pass plays, which include passes, sacks, and aborted snaps. It is a better measure of pass blocking than total sacks because it takes into account how often an offense passes the ball. Adjusted Sack Rate adds adjustments for opponent quality, as well as down and distance (sacks are more common on third down, especially third-and-long).

In 2017, we had the #3 pass blocking while ranking 26th in run blocking.

In 2018, we had the #13 pass blocking while #5 in run blocking.

What does this mean? Not sure really other than that Pouncey and Tevi are better at run blocking than Pulley and Barksdale.

There sure is quite a disparity there
between Pro Football Focus and footballoutsiders.
