You don't think BB, the greatest coach of his era and maybe alltime didn't adjust?

Not in this game because if you look at the game log in the second half Tomlinson carried the ball just a few times but when he did he was very effective. After watching the game recently again and looking at the game log I really think that Cam was trying to out think everyone and trying to be cute instead of doing what that Charger team did best.

Tomlinson had 5 carries in the 2nd half. He was no doubt the number 1 weapon for Bellichick to take away, but BB always had problems with Tomlinson. Tomlinson had a great game when he got touches.

Cam was trying to impress his new team the Dolphins.

He did that by drafting Ted Ginn, Jr,
with Patrick Willis and Darrell Revis
                on the board.

OH WOW! totally O-minded coach and it was his terrible play-calling in that second half is one of the major reasons that did us in. LT was killin it that day, and rightly so as that was the year he won MVP and had about a gazillion TDs right? How do you take the ball outa a playmaker like that on an historic year?!

                    Agreed jubei.
That cost us the game more than anything else.

The thing about that period was that as bad as Schotty was in the playoffs, once Norv took over, and had more playoff success, the team was unable to develop talent like it did under Schotty. So while Norv took us to an AFC Championship game, and was close to upsetting one of the better Pats teams of all time, his ability to sustain it was vastly decreased.

I don't know if Lynn can have playoff success and stay in a cycle of being able to draft and develop talent or not. But that is the key to sustained success in the NFL. You have to be able to draft and develop players.
