Latest pro football league is the XFL...and a re-boot from 2001!

The latest startup and future foldup league is the XFL. Actually, the XFL is a re-boot from all the way back in 2001, when it had a startup and foldup all in the same year. Now, they have resurrected this old dinosaur for the 2020 season. 8 teams, including L.A., none nicknamed yet. Good luck...

    You're too late, XFL.
The LA Chargers are in town.
They have sold out Dignity Health Sports Park.

No prob! The L.A. Future Foldup XFL Team can always schedule their games on Sundays when the Bolts are on the road; most Saturdays, Fridays, Mondays, Thursdays, etc. They're even selling deposits on season tickets: https://www.xfl.com/teams/los-angeles

Why would they have a team in LA now? Just have the SD Fleet join the XFL. The AAF isn't coming back.

No name yet for the new L.A. team---and Fleet wouldn't fit L.A. Maybe we can come up with a name...how about...

Thats why im saying WHY even have a team in LA with two NFL teams already here? Have the SD Fleet join the XFL and get rid of the LA team.

Fleet fits San Diego because of the Navy connection. Fleet doesn't work that well for L.A., unless you're talking about a fleet of Chinese merchant ships delivering cheap Walmart goods at San Pedro and Long Beach Harbors. So in that case, call the team the Los Angeles COSCO (China Ocean Shipping Company)

I understand that but you aren't understanding what I'm saying.
I'm saying have the San Diego Fleet in the XFL, not another LA team. Get rid of the LA team altogether. Never did I say call the LA team the Fleet

Ah, yes...that WOULD make sense...or at least for the XFL to open a franchise under a different team name in SD instead of LA. But, remember, the LA market, even with the Rams and Chargers both there, is STILL a lot bigger than the San Diego market...and it's also possible a potential XFL franchise owner in SD might be scared off by how sour the stadium negotiations went between San Diego and the Chargers...

Yes but there was not a team in LA in 2001when the XFL had its only season and now there are two. The XFL isn't going to get huge crowds and with two teams in LA, I doubt anybody will care but they will in SD. The Fleet drew decent there. The LA market is bigger but if nobody cares, it won't matter.
