I don't know if there's ever been precedence
id like to see a team argue that the fifth year didn't count because the player faked an injury

We all know this team as in the front office can be cheapskates and not pay a player what they are worth but Gordon has to come down from his asking price imo.

washigton is not close to win now, just drafted Guice. No way they trade for any sign top money to a 26 y old back at this stage of their rebuild.
Tampa and Bills are possibilities.
Vikes like Cook a lot. They are a lesser possibility.

And how well did they do when they reached the open market? Did they get low balled by us in reality, or were they actually market value offers and even above, but just not what the player viewed their worth? IMO TT has an excellent grasp of where the market value for positions and individual players is at.

Vinnie Iyer does a good job here through process of elimination opining that there are only 2 valid suitors 4 Melvin Gordon in trade. The most needy, Tampa Bay, doesn't have a cap space. The other team is Houston. He concludes that the best deal for Melvin Gordon is to take what the Chargers are offering and have a rewarding career in an offense that is suited for him.
