    Bolts vs. Cards Game Analysis

In analyzing the Bolts vs. Cardinals game, let's look at run blocking first. Scho has a nice block to help spring Ekkie here. Tevi seals off the inside--a nice piece of work (u can't see him, but he's there):

Though Lamp was decent at times, he did allow a pressure here which forced Tyrod to scramble:

Later on, with Kordell in at QB, Lamp lets his man blow by him, but overshoots Kordell on the outside. Kordell competes the pass--at least he didn't hold onto the rock too long. Note that Pipkens at LT had solid protection here, though it was vs. the Cards 2nd stringers.

Later on, Lamp pulls and crosses over to protect the right side, but whiffs, allowing his man to sack Kordell:

With Stick at QB, both Pip (LT) and Drango (RT) get overwhelmed and Pip's man sacks Stick.

The next play, with Stick moving the Bolts well, Drango is again overwhelmed, but Stick steps into the pocket and completes the throw. So, if IOL holds, as Wood has pointed out repeatedly, this is the key.

On Stick's TD run, it was again the outside pressure that flushed Stick out to scramble for that TD. Stick is so slippery, got to give the kid credit for instantly moving up--no hesitation at all--great instincts! Watch it all at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEL9nmD1dZ4

I call Cardale "Kordell," because that's what LT calls him...if u watch the game on TV, LT has some interesting pronunciation...like referring to Sam Tevi as Sam "TEE-vee"...just a little joke here...

I call Cardale Dead Man Walking this dude is DONE! If Sam Tevi doesn't play average or to above average we all will be calling him something else or refering to him something else also, (such as sorry sob, MFer, piece of shit, etc....) no joke on both accounts

Unless Sam can cut down on the sacks and hurries allowed, I will continue to refer to him as "Turnstile" Tevi...

                        Love the breakdowns Cat.

I see NFL pockets in the last 3 pics though. QB is 8-9 yards deep. Step up and deliver the ball.
Most pockets are not the classic U.

2.5 seconds is a good barometer for minimum time to pass.
3.2 seconds or more is very solid.
